The Main Archive is comprised of Objects of many different types. When you enter a new Object, the first thing you have to do is select a General Category from the following list:

 

 

Each of these Object types has its own data structure, so when you click on the Object Details button on the Basic Info page, you'll open up a custom form designed for the specified Object type - that is, for the selected General Category.
